Oh, how I am gonna miss this little guy & his Momma! They are moving next week and while we are excited for them to start a new adventure, we are very sad for us because we are losing wonderful neighbors and friends. It has been so great getting to know them and so neat that Marilee and I have been able to go through all of this baby stuff together.
This little guy is less than a week shy of being 5 months old and he is changing so much everyday. He almost rolled from back to front today as we were cheering him on. No doubt he’ll have it in the next few days. Although Joslyn and I won’t get to have our wonderful playdates, coffee dates, and walks with Matthew and Marilee (yes, they are playdates for the Mommas too…more for us at this point than them;), we are looking forward to keeping in touch and seeing Matthew grow.
Good luck on the move Marilee, Matthew, Pete, and of course, Marley (their funny & cute dog). 🙂 But…we’re not ready to say goodbye just yet. Hopefully, we can squeeze in a couple more get togethers before you depart. 😉
Joslyn, my muse, helped me scout out some photo locations the other day. We walked around downtown and found some cute spots in the alleys of our tiny town.
Last weekend, I had the privilege of photographing the Eylar boys! I photographed these little guys almost two years ago so it was fun to see how they had grown. Although it was a super cold, windy day and we cut the session short, I was able to get a few sweet shots of these guys. Can’t wait to get together again for some more photos and hopefully better weather. 🙂 If the weather doesn’t cooperate this time though, there’s a Plan B in place!
J was a trooper in the cold weather and he seemed to be perfectly comfortable in front of the camera. Check out that smile too…such a sweetheart. 😉
C played hard to get but this picture is evidence that he gave up a few smiles for me. 🙂
I think these two could have careers as children’s clothing models…so handsome and always dressed super cute!
Looking forward to more photo time with these darling boys!
Joslyn has definitely earned her nickname of “Screech Owl” as she can belt out some screeches that can leave your ears ringing. I love how she enjoys working those vocal cords although I’m not sure what others may think should we ever go on a plane trip or decide to try dinner out at a restaurant. 😉
I love this little sugar plum! We had fun during her 6 month photo session. It was so great to be able to photograph her sitting up (supported, of course but close to doing it on her own) and get a different perspective although I will never tire of the ones where she is laying on her little tum-tum either.
Check out those jelly rolls…love them!
I think it’s probably safe to assume that we definitely have a blue-eyed girl at this point. 🙂 YAY!
After all of these photo sessions with my babe, and now that she is older, I am definitely ready to start capturing memories for others so send me an email if you want to set something up.
This sweet little peanut is Matthew. He is the 7 week old (about 5 weeks in the photos) baby of my friend and neighbor, Marilee. Marilee and her husband, Pete, moved in next to us when she was about 4 1/2 months pregnant and I was about 7 1/2 months pregnant. Of course, I thought it was so neat to have another preggo lady on the block so I introduced myself. Since that time, we have both had our little bundles of joy and have gotten to know each other and we have become friends. Let me just say how wonderfully refreshing it is to have such awesome neighbors! 😉 Anyway, back to the little cutie in the photos…Marilee brought Matthew over a couple of weeks ago and I snapped a few photos of him. I just love all of his expressions and although our photo session was short I think I got some cute ones of the little guy.
He was so alert on this day and just checking everything out in his new surroundings. Check out the little bit of hair sticking up…SO adorable!
This one I just love in B&W…I think it’s very dreamy and especially endearing how he is looking up like he is deep in thought. If only we could read the minds of our little ones. 🙂 I hope you enjoy the photos Marilee & Pete!
Happy 1 month birthday to my darling little sugar plum!! I can’t believe it has been a month already! It seems like just yesterday that my water broke and we were headed to the hospital anticipating meeting this little girl and yet it also seems like she has been here for a lot longer than a month. People always say how much your life changes once you have kids but I never really understood that until now. I don’t think there’s anything anyone can say that can truly prepare you. The round the clock nursing, crying (mostly due to tummy pains), explosive poo, the never-ending diaper changing, the screaming in agony at bath time, the burping, and did I mention the spit up…these are challenging indeed but oh so worth every time I see that little face. Her smile (even though it’s caused by gas at this point), her sweet sounds (yes, even her toots), how peaceful she is when she’s asleep, the warmth of her little body against me when she’s nursing, seeing those big eyes look up at me make all those challenges seem small when I know all the amazing things I get to experience with this sweet girl everyday. I am so lucky to be her Momma!
The little cocoon she is in, the kitty, and the princess crown (still a little big) were all gifts that my grandma made for her. She also received lots of handmade blankets and a little knit dress as well. I love how she is holding on to her little kitty…what a sweet little peanut!
Happy girl…I think the sound of my camera clicking is something she enjoys. She already seems so comfortable in front of the camera which is good as she has many more photos in her future. 😉
I had to include this one. I just adore her little frog legs!
