1 Month

Happy 1 month birthday to my darling little sugar plum!!  I can’t believe it has been a month already!  It seems like just yesterday that my water broke and we were headed to the hospital anticipating meeting this little girl and yet it also seems like she has been here for a lot longer than a month.  People always say how much your life changes once you have kids but I never really understood that until now.  I don’t think there’s anything anyone can say that can truly prepare you.  The round the clock nursing, crying (mostly due to tummy pains), explosive poo, the never-ending diaper changing, the screaming in agony at bath time, the burping, and did I mention the spit up…these are challenging indeed but oh so worth every time I see that little face. Her smile (even though it’s caused by gas at this point), her sweet sounds (yes, even her toots), how peaceful she is when she’s asleep, the warmth of her little body against me when she’s nursing, seeing those big eyes look up at me make all those challenges seem small when I know all the amazing things I get to experience with this sweet girl everyday.  I am so lucky to be her Momma!

The little cocoon she is in, the kitty, and the princess crown (still a little big) were all gifts that my grandma made for her.  She also received lots of handmade blankets and a little knit dress as well.  I love how she is holding on to her little kitty…what a sweet little peanut!

Happy girl…I think the sound of my camera clicking is something she enjoys.  She already seems so comfortable in front of the camera which is good as she has many more photos in her future.
